| "Pastor April was amazing!! DH and I were combining families when we got married. He had 1 son from a previous relationship and I had my 2 children from a previous marriage. Our wedding was the culmination of all the steps we took from getting to know the five of us to creating a home for us all so we wanted a ceremony to reflect our lives. Our 3 kids were involved from the beginning (I’m talking invite beginning) and they felt appreciated. We met with her; and DH was a little nervous about booking her. His family is very traditional and religious but I reminded him whose wedding we were having and gave him time to think about what he wanted. She emailed us all of the options for the ceremony and I read parts she wrote based on what we said about ourselves and our relationship to him and he changed his tune. By the time Pastor April, DH, and I were done we had the most beautiful ceremony including words that spoke directly to our relationship and our own vows along with some traditional parts plus our own twist on the Family Medallion Ceremony which included promises made to the children from us. I definitely cried working on that. We received so many compliments on the ceremony even from the religious relatives that wanted to see it all take place in a church so that was touching!" When we were looking around my husband didn’t even want t o consider a woman doing the ceremony but once he met with her his tune changed, he fell in love with her as much as everyone else did who attended our ceremony…. She made everyone at the ceremony cry (in a good way of course)…. Very great , highly recommend! |
| From day one Pastor April was great, I spoke to her on the phone after speaking to two others and knew I had to book her on the spot. Of course I didn’t tell her ‘cus my DH had to meet her too! DH is Presbyterian and wanted someone who’s also of the same church or something similar. Well after we met I was won over, I had to have her perform our ceremony! | All my vendors are great but I have to say my two favorites are Pastor April and Designs By Rose. I absolutely LOVE Pastor April. She’s the most amazing woman – great sense of humor, great orator, great writer and exceptional woman! I can’t praise this woman highly enough. My MIL loved her so much she went over after the ceremony to find her and thank her for a truly unique ceremony. |
| She is a life saver! Literally! We had originally gone to see her in September. We were both very comfortable with her and decided to book her. About a month later one of our friends got ordained to become a priest. He really wanted to do our ceremony (or so he said) and the best part, for FREE. We cancelled with April and waited to hear from our friend. We waited and waited, until about a month before the wedding and we were still getting the shuffle from him. I told Dan that I was giving the guy one more week then he had to do something about it! He gave him the week. I got a call from DH saying "I have bad news, and I have good news, which do you want first." Since I always hope the good with make up for the bad, I take the bad first. He broke it to me that he couldn’t get in touch with his friend, but he had already gotten in touch with April and she was available and she even still had the stuff she had sent us. This was all said in one really rushed sentence so I really had to laugh off the friend and be very thankful that Dan was so encouraged to make it all good. |
| April was a doll. She lets you change around things to your hearts content, or she’ll even just say a quick something to get you married. We edited around the info she gave us, changing it around until it was exactly what we wanted. She was perfect! Bonni-Jean and Dan |
| Pastor April is a vendor on the boards and she was one of our very best. This woman spent SO much time customizing our ceremony. She met with us several times.
