She is so warm and caring and it shows in the ceremony she wrote which was so personal and beautiful. So many people contacted me to tell me how great the ceremony she performed was. Her great service didn't end after the wedding. She is so helpful with ensuring that you have all the necessary documents and information for changing your name, etc. Her website couldn't be more complete. I highly recommend her! |

| Pastor April was absolutely amazing!!! She was so easy to work with and explains everything to the fullest. She understood how important our family and culture was to us and worked with us to include these things in our ceremony. She even ad-libbed about the rude neighbor that was blaring his stereo throughout the entire ceremony (which made for a very funny moment and memory). She sat with us at our initial meeting and really got to know us which really helped in the Personal section of the ceremony. I have received so many compliments on how beautiful the ceremony was and how warm and friendly Pastor April was. You can definitely tell that she knows her stuff and her website is awesome, gives you ideas and walks you through the entire process and even has links on how and who to contact for the name changing process.THANK YOU! | Laura & Michael's LIW Review Pastor April was the best "vendor"/person we worked with. Hands down. My mom is a Born- Again Christian, DH's family is culturally Jewish. We both identify as Agnostic, but we also understand and respect how religion molded us culturally. We interviewed a ton of different officiants—so many that I was actually sick to my stomach thinking of the officiant for our wedding. We decided to call April after reading so many positive reviews on LIW. I was hesitant to talk to her because she charged. I did not budget for an officiant because I always thought I just had to make a donation and a pastor would do it for free; I definitely learned this is not the case in most religions. As soon as we talked to April on the phone, all of our fears about having to please everyone and worrying about money disappeared. She was incredibly knowledgeable and respectful of many different beliefs, and she asked us if we want to incorporate more cultural aspects of Christianity/Judaism instead of religious beliefs (e.g., breaking of the glass is more of a tradition and less of a religious belief). This way, our families still know that we're acknowledging their beliefs but religion is not the core of the ceremony--FH and I are what people will focus on. The ceremony she wrote with us was beautiful and unlike anything I have every seen before. She showed up an hour early and was so wonderful every single minute. I know everyone said this about April in their past reviews, but it must be said again—besides hearing about how beautiful I look, the second most-stated compliment of the night was about the originality of the ceremony. Everyone loved it and said they never enjoyed sitting through an entire ceremony until ours. We are so happy we hired her because she is creative, open, and excited to work with everyone. If you have any religious tension in your family, she is definitely worth calling. |
